OrchestraHCM Time Management, Time Tracking Module

🎯 Purpose
The OrchestraHCM Time Management Module enables you to centrally manage your employees' working hours, leaves and shift planning. Your company's legal working hours and policies are defined in this module. You can track and report your employees' working hours, leaves and shift planning. First, calendar and holiday days are defined, then intermediate programs, daily work schedules, periodic work schedules and monthly work patterns are defined. Attendance and absence types, quotas and leave entitlement types are defined.
You can use two different time calculation methods in OrchestraHCM Time Management module:
1. Negative Time Management
Working Logic:
- Assumes employee works regularly every day
- Only absence times are recorded
- Absences such as vacation, sickness, late arrival are tracked
Use Cases:
- Ideal for office employees
- Personnel with regular working hours
- Administrative and technical personnel
- Management staff
2. Positive Time Management
Working Logic:
- Assumes employee does not work every day
- Only time worked is recorded
- Entry-exit times are tracked in detail
Use Cases:
- Ideal for production workers
- Shift work systems
- Field and project workers
- Contractor and temporary personnel
Shift Planning
In both methods, you can perform shift planning to determine which shift your employees will work, manage shift changes and automatically plan shift rotations.
You can create calculation formulas in this module without writing any code.

- Employee Programs - All daily, periodic and monthly work programs of the company
- Attendance Types - Attendance types such as duty, training and travel

Basic concepts that need to be known before using the OrchestraHCM Time Management module:
Calendar and Holidays
Calendars allow you to define your company's working days and hours. Holidays enable you to set official holidays and your company's special holiday days. This information forms the basis for work schedules and leave management.
Daily, Periodic and Monthly Work Programs
Daily work programs define standard working hours for each day. Periodic work programs define working hours valid for a specific period. Monthly work patterns allow you to define different working hours for each month. These programs are used to manage employees' working hours and shift planning.
Attendance
Defines situations where employees attend due to reasons such as duty, training or travel. Attendance types are used to manage time spent by employees outside their normal working hours.
Absences
Defines employee absence situations. Absence types such as regular, sick leave, vacation are used.
Attendance Quotas
Leave and working hour limits that can be used due to overtime or compensatory work are tracked in the attendance quota information type.
Absence Quotas
Annual leave entitlements defined for absence types such as annual leave and sick leave are tracked in the absence quota information type.
Timesheet Calculation Schema
The timesheet calculation schema is the information type where formulas used to calculate employees' working hours, absences and attendances are defined. You can create formulas with a visual interface without writing code and use these formulas in timesheet calculations. When the system is installed, ready-made timesheet calculation schemas such as TM00, TM01 come, but you can create new schemas or edit existing schemas according to your needs.
